Ready for A New Sketch?

Its that time at Paper Popsicles! We are VERY busy at Paper Popsicles cooking up some fun things to do! So make sure to stop by the Message board on World Card Making Day October 3rd for some fun and inspiring ideas!
And on October 10th we are going to be having a Halloween blog hop! It is going to be SOO much fun with all kinds of Halloween eye candy, and of course LOTS of prizes as well! And if you head on over to the Paper Popsicles blog there is some blog candy available for spreading the work about the the blog stomp!

And while we are talking Halloween here is my monster shape card from Paper Popsicles I promised.

I covered the body with flocking and used alcohol ink to dye him the green color, and his legs are distressed Stickles. (One important tip: if you are going to do this either print or trace him onto THICK paper! He was too warped and flimsy to stand on his own when I was done) I stitched his mouth with embroidery floss and added the fun googly eyes! Since he was too flimsy to be a shape card I used some acrylic pieces from Midnight Oil to create a fun acrylic card instead! I used my newly purchased Big Bite to punch my holes and some DoodleBug ric rac to to tie it together! Sorry you can see a reflection in the 2nd pic, but its drizzling again so I can't get a new pic!

YIKES!!

Life has been SOOO SUPER busy lately! Sorry I have fallen behind in everything! I thought with the boys going to school 3 mornings a week I'd be more on track, but not yet! I think I need to get myself on more of a schedule. But enough of the excuses and on with the good stuff!!!

First off I have to share this. I check my e-mail quickly yesterday morning and see an e-mail marked SNR Publication Requirements with a weird e-mail address and I am thinking its some kind of e-mail with an update of their requirements or something and look past it. After checking the other e-mails I FINALLY open this one and guess what??? They want 6 of my layouts for a special double issue coming out on the 26th of the month!! It had been SO long since I had submitted I totally forgot that I did!!! So now I get to have this cute little guy!!! : ) {OK so I don't know how this part got SOO BIG, and I can't get it to change!}

SUPER EXCITING!!!

Be sure to look around at all the other AWESOME projects my fellow DT members have been creating as well! Some SUPER cute stuff on there right now!

And over at Paper Popsicles the fabulous Amy Duff has created yet again another FABULOUS card sketch for the weekly card challenge!

Don't forget you have till next Tuesday the 21st to complete your card and get it uploaded to the Paper Popsicles blog! And here is my card I made using this sketch and an image from Cheeky Radish.

And while we are on the subject of Paper Popsicles and cards check out these cuties made using the Shaped card templates! And the shape card templates are new and improved as now the shape is only an outline allowing you to print directly onto your paper or for making a stencil and using very little of your ink! Once you start playing with these shaped cards you WILL become addicted they are SOOO much fun!! There are SOOO many to chose form and there are ALWAYS new ones being added, so go on over and get some to play with!

OK you will have to wait till tomorrow for the other card-I am still putting a finishing touch on it! ; )

Happy September 1st!! AND 2nd!

So it is a bittersweet reveal of my Paper Popsicles kit this month! It is my last kit with them this month! I have just LOVED every minute of my time with them! Well and you know what they say when one door closes another one opens! ; ) Stayed tuned for some VERY exciting news soon!

Well since I started this yesterday and didn't get it finished as I am feeling like I am catching the boys cold and took a nap before work I decided to make this one long post.

Today was the boy's first day of Preschool! They could NOT WAIT to go!!! They were SOOO excited that I didn't even get a good-bye from them! : ( Off they ran into their room and didn't even look back at me! Then when I went to pick them up Joseph didn't want to go home! We went to Mc Donald's for lunch after school with their buddy Josh. What a day! Here are a couple pics.

Well in other news I have some fantastic news to share! I was asked to stay on at Paper Popsicles as a digital designer for the Cheeky Radish designs! I am SOOO excited to still be part of the team!!

Oh yeah AND yesterday I received my prize pack from MME!! VERY yummy and GENEROUS!!! I can't wait to use some of my new found free time to create! Look what I got!
